EMDR Therapy
A New Service We Offer
We are excited to announce that Lane and Co Counseling now offers Eye Movement Desensitization and
Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, an innovative and evidence-based approach to healing. EMDR is a highly effective
treatment for individuals who have experienced trauma, anxiety, depression, or other emotional challenges.
What is EMDR Therapy?
EMDR therapy is designed to help clients process and overcome difficult experiences or distressing memories that
may be affecting their mental health and daily life. Unlike traditional talk therapy, EMDR uses guided eye
movements or other forms of bilateral stimulation to help the brain reprocess unresolved memories and
emotions, reducing their emotional intensity and influence.
Why Choose EMDR?
Many clients find EMDR to be empowering and transformative because it:
- Addresses the root causes of emotional distress rather than just the symptoms.
- Works efficiently, often producing results in fewer sessions compared to other therapeutic methods.
- Helps clients build resilience and regain a sense of control over their lives.
EMDR and Black Women
A Space for Healing
At Lane and Co Counseling, we recognize the unique challenges that Black women face, including generational trauma, systemic stressors, and cultural
stigmas around mental health. EMDR therapy offers a compassionate and effective way to:
- Address the impact of racial trauma and microaggressions.
- Reclaim a sense of self-worth and empowerment.
- Heal from past experiences that may have been minimized or overlooked in traditional therapeutic spaces.
We are committed to creating a safe and affirming environment where Black women can explore their experiences, find healing, and thrive.
Is EMDR Right for You?
EMDR is suitable for a wide range of individuals and issues, including:
- Survivors of abuse or neglect
- Individuals struggling with anxiety or depression
- Those facing workplace or relationship challenges
- People seeking to overcome self-doubt or low self-esteem
Cost of EMDR Therapy
At Lane and Co Counseling, EMDR sessions are offered at $190 per session.
Please note that EMDR is a self-pay service and is not covered by insurance.
This ensures that we can provide a high-quality, client-centered experience
without the limitations or restrictions often imposed by insurance providers.
